Not much time today, so something I saw at work that shocked me.
The article below, from a reputable source, states that of the 40,000 deaths attributable to substance use and misuse in Canada, in 2002, over 37,000 of them were due to tobacco use. Almost 1700 were caused by illegal substances.
Think about that for a moment. We consider crack a far worse problem than cigarettes, and in many ways it is, both societally and individually. But on a population level?
Those numbers are some crazy.
