I've got a feature in this month's Xtra!
Owning Up: Queer Adventures in the World of Mortgages
It nearly killed me to write this. This, in fact, was the piece of writing I was working on while listening to Wolf Parade and trying not to cry in the Bridgehead. Which means I'm xtra pleased with how it turned out in the end.
I hope you like it too.

I'm not buying a house right now, but I can imagine a similar circumstance for us at some future point and I loved reading about your experiences, both on the blog and in your article. Hooray!
Great job. You can rest assured when your reader, upon reading your article, thinks to herself - 'humm, I should really print this out and file it somewhere so I can find it when I need it, because I know I most certianly will, someday soon...'
It felt like a good hand hold. Thanks!
Megan...that is excellently written. I too agree with Mae that it is one of those articles that you want to print out and save for the right time. Though we've owned a few times now co-housing keeps creeping into our minds along with intentional community. Co-housing seems a little more confusing though...thanks for the hand.
